The Palm Springs Film Festival is a transmedia project that extends the brand identity across many forms of media. Founded in 1990 by Sonny Bono, the film festival has gain immense popularity amongst celebrities and the film industry. With such rich history embedded in the festival, the visual identity communicates the essence of Palm Springs.
The brand identity is followed through in a poster series, stationery, website, and a booklet script page by page. The poster series showcases the festival’s two-week schedule, promotes brand awareness, and advertises a director’s panel. The director that is featured in the panel is director, Alfonso Cuarón. His work is showcased throughout the poster series and in a Q&A in the booklet. The booklet begins with a scene of a film, First Wedding, and takes the reader through the film. The design layout allows the reader to vividly imagine the scene unravel right before of their eyes.

Logo Inspiration
The sharp and geometric angles of the logomark was inspired by the mid-century modern architecture. The color palette draws inspiration from the sunrise and sunset in the desert landscape.
